Yoga offers Relief for Migraines

The research was published in the journal Neurology. After three months, people in the yoga group were having 48% fewer migraine episodes — dropping from an average of nine a month, to just under five. There was little change in the comparison group,
That’s knocking Migraines out of the water!
Dr. Cynthia Armand, a neurologist at the Montefiore Headache Center in New York City said that the research shows that, in general, mindfulness practices can support the parasympathetic nervous system.
I would put Hypnosis in the “Mindfulness” realm. What’s helpful about the program I run is that you learn different skills to stop a migraine from progressing or to prevent it altogether. My goal is for you to do that on your own, by settling into a bed or comfy chair, relaxing your body, and choosing a skill to use to help yourself. But the hypnosis files you receive are also handy in case you need them. You get to keep them forever and can use them whenever you like.
Most people with migraines need a toolbox of different things they can do to help decrease frequency of migraines and intensity of migraines – medication, yoga, hypnosis – are just three tools of many that are effective.
