5 Bedtime Affirmations to Sleep Better

5 Bedtime Affirmations to Sleep BetterI have a daughter in college who does not want lots of “stuff” for Christmas. She has limited space in her room. It’s made me get creative with what type of gifts I give her. One is an audiobook of “Soundtracks” by Jon Acuff with a laminated copy of the New Anthem that’s in the book!

📕 If you haven’t read it, this book is fantastic and for every overthinker out there. It’s all about changing old shitty things you say to yourself into supportive, positive thoughts.

💕 Another thing I love about this book is that Jon actually ran a study on whether the morning and evening affirmations/ new soundtracks “work.” Do they decrease overthinking and increase productivity? What about satisfaction or happiness?

🙌 Yes! 🙌

😴The anthem is now part of my own morning and bedtime routine. People who worry and overthink often take that into their sleep. Saying the New Anthem before bed will help release those thoughts and take you into bed feeling positive which ultimately helps you sleep better!

You don’t have to Buy the Book to come up with some great affirmations for yourself. One of them in the book is actually one I’ve said to myself for years and years. It’s “Everything is always working out for me.”

This will actually help you sleep better! If you have less anxiety before bed, then

  • It’s easier to fall asleep
  • You wake up during the night less
  • You wake up feeling more rested.

5 Bedtime Affirmations

I’ve come up with a list of 5 Affirmations that you could say to yourself in the morning before bed. Here we go!

  1. Everything is always working out for me.
  2. I’ve left myself plenty of fun things to work on tomorrow.
  3. I’ll sleep well knowing tomorrow is a better day.
  4. I’m here for a reason, even if i don’t know it yet.
  5. A large sum of money from an unexpected source is coming my way.

I thought you might like that last one! It comes from Joan Sotkin who has a great podcast, Prosperity Place, about money matters and reducing anxiety around money. She always says that it’s just as easy to think of something great as it is to think of a disaster. The mind just need something to think about, so she gives her mind something great to think about.
