HOW to feel better about yourself with Dr Liz
Hi everyone. Dr. Liz here with the hypnotizing podcast and conversations for effective living. We’re jumping right in today to the topic of how do you feel good about yourself? So some of the backstory here is this is a pet peeve of mine. These videos that circulate, they get millions of views that you need to feel better about yourself and they go on and they talk about that. But they never say how really, you know, sometimes they’ll say you need to take care of yourself. You need to do this. You need to go to the gym, whatever. Right. But they don’t really talk about how to feel good about yourself inside. Like how do you begin to respect yourself? And I really believe the solution here to feel good about yourself is action. Okay. So yes. Do some inner work, but two, you have to do things that make you feel like you are a good person.
Now that is individual for everyone. So I’m not saying I’m putting my value system on somebody else that you get to decide what your own value system is. But for an example, for me, kindness is a big value. So how do I feel like I’m a kind person? Well, I give service. I help someone who needs some help when I’m in the store. And even if I’m frustrated and I’m waiting or something, if someone needs some help with someone, I try to help them. Why? Because it makes me feel like a kind person. If I never did that, then I may not feel that way. And I really want to feel that way. So that’s just a short example of how do you feel good about yourself? If you want to feel good about yourself as a person, and you want to feel like you have integrity, you have to take actions that have integrity.
You have to be honest, even when it’s a really hard, you don’t have to be. You can choose to be honest, even when it’s really hard, because you know that that makes you feel like you have integrity. And then having integrity makes you feel like a better person. And that’s how you feel better. So you don’t lie. You don’t cheat on people. You don’t have money relationships. Okay? You don’t like play this whenever you here and then play that one over there. No, you’re honest as much as possible with everyone that you come into contact with. Okay. So integrity is also keeping your word, right? So even if you really don’t feel like doing what you said, you’re going to do you go ahead and do it. Why? Because, you know, afterwards you will feel like you have integrity and that will help you feel like a better person. A so that’s two examples right there of how to feel better.
