As an ex-overeater, I’ve been there. I even had a PhD, was a therapist myself, but somehow couldn’t figure out this one part of my life. There were decades in my life that I tried everything under the sun to lose weight. There were also decades where I felt out of control of my food, looking for a solution – anything – to help me. Talk therapy sometimes triggered me to eat. Honestly, anything could trigger me to eat! Not that I didn’t benefit from it in other ways, but I was expecting it to fix my weight. And it didn’t. I would lose some and gain more back. Talk about frustrating! If you’re an overeater, you know this path well.
Finally, I got certified in Hypnosis and began working with people on weight loss. I found that my overeating was helped by me helping others, by me speaking the words. In fact, it’s part of the reason I call myself an ex-overeater! The final piece for me was a hypnosis technique called Core Healing.
The weight began to come off. I truly loved and valued myself. No more self-loathing! No more body hatred or self-hatred. Not that I don’t occasionally have to check myself around food. But it’s more like once or twice a year that I have to prepare for something. The daily struggle is gone.

Hypnosis for Overeating is a commitment in terms of time and effort. The sessions are longer than a typical 45 minute psychotherapy session and generally run 1-3 hours depending on what type of work we’re doing that day. This is because it takes time to both talk and do hypnosis during a session. Although 1-3 hours may be scheduled, you only pay for the time spent in fifteen minute increments (with an hour minimum). Ex., If we only use 1.5 hours, you would only pay for that amount of time. See more about Core Healing . . .
For clients who are flying in or for the busy professional, “boot camp style” weekends are available and scheduled in 2-3 consecutive days.
