Adult ADD, ADHD, & Autism
“This is the most practical and emotional therapy session I’ve ever had!” – E.S., client with ADHD
This page is for psychotherapy that’s affirming of the neurodivergent brain style. If you’re looking for just an evaluation, please see Adult Autism and ADHD Evaluations.
I work with business owners, executives, and professionals with ADD, ADHD, or Autism Level 1 (formerly called Aspergers). This is my jam! I love it!
A lot of therapists are uneducated or unfamiliar about working with people with neurodivergence. They recommend things that just don’t fit or don’t understand how to work through a process that’s individual to the person they’re working with.
For example, they’ll say “find a good planner and stick with it.” Instead of “Try 3 different planners and rotate them when you get bored of one.”
Or they think something is “wrong” with the client and needs to be “fixed.”
In Neurodivergent / ND Supportive psychotherapy I come from a strength based stance. Together we look at all of your strengths and also look at areas of your life or things you do that are frustrating to you and that you would like to improve.
It’s a collaborative process. I don’t decide what needs improving. YOU decide what needs improving.

Together we look at the influence of your environment because what’s defined as “disability” only occurs in an mis-adapted environment. That means we live in a world that’s not adapted and supportive of people with ADD and Autism.
We do NOT suppress ADD, ADHD, or Autistic symptoms because essentially that reinforces masking which can be exhausting and lead to overwhelm, meltdowns, and burnout. I am not here to “take it away.” It’s your identity and I am here to affirm and support that identity. And figure out ways for you to move through the world and work in the world that’s more effective for you and feels better for you.
I honor your feeling side! So many people with ADD, ADHD, and Adult Autism have heard throughout their lives that their feelings don’t matter – just “get it done” or “do your homework” or “finish the project.” I’m here to say that your feelings matter and can be useful tool for you instead of one you have to suppress, push down, or be ashamed of.
If you’re interested in working together, just schedule a free consultation to get a feel for me. I look forward to learning who you are and how I can best support you.
